Common uses: The level of oestrogen (female sex hormone) in saliva increases dramatically two to three days prior to ovulation and reaches its peak during the day of ovulation. High levels of oestrogen are evident in a saliva sample when viewed through a microscope. The Maybe Baby microscope gives you the ability to view your own saliva sample and can therefore help determine the most fertile period of your reproductive cycle. Maybe Baby can help maximise the possibility for a successful pregnancy. When dried saliva is viewed through a microscope it reveals distinct patterns. These patterns will help you determine which stage of your cycle you are in. Therefore use this device to: Determine the optimal time (4 days before and 2 days after ovulation) for a wanted pregnancy. At this time, the fern leaf structure should clearly appear. Influence the sex of the child with some reliability. Sperm, which determines male or female sex, have a different life time and speed of movement. Therefore the probability of a female child is higher in the case of conception before ovulation (when the fern leaf structure is partially developed). In the case of conception during ovulation (when the fern leaf structure is fully developed) the parents may be more likely to have a boy. Before using Maybe Baby please read the instructions completely. The accuracy of results will depend on how well the instructions are followed.
Instructions: There are very detailed instructions included in the kit, with coloured photographs, to explain exactly how to use this fantastic device. For best results maybe baby should be used immediately after waking and before eating, drinking, smoking or brushing of your teeth. Before use, clean the internal glass surface of the view finder (2.2) with a lint free cloth. Apply saliva on the carefully cleaned internal glass surface. After the saliva has dried (allow 5 to 10 minutes) observe the sample through the mini microscope viewfinder (2). A pattern will appear to determine the fertile or infertile period of the menstrual cycle. During the Fertile period the oestrogen level increases and the microscope pattern observed through the maybe baby viewfinder (2) will have the appearance of a fern leaf. The fern leaf pattern usually will begin to appear from 3-4 days before ovulation. This is the optimum time for conception. Where little dots or pebble like patterns appear, a women is in an infertile period. The Transitional Phase occurs as the cycle moves from an infertile to fertile period or fertile to infertile period. Conception is possible during the Transitional phase when the patterns observed through maybe baby viewfinder are mixed.
